Facial Acupuncture Benefits

Retaining your vitality is where acupuncture truly shines

I'm only in my 20s or 30s

If you are in your 20s or 30s, acupuncture can help you to feel your best. Regular facial acupuncture treatment can relieve the tension in your facial muscles and connective tissues which leads to wrinkles later in life and lines of tension.

I'm in my middle years

In your 40s and 50s profound hormonal changes are experienced by both women and men.  Regular facial acupuncture can minimize the depth of facial lines, help to improve skin tone, and help you to feel beautiful inside and out as you gracefully navigate “the change”.

The Golden Years

If you are in your 60s and beyond, regular acupuncture treatment can slow the degeneration of joints which results in arthritis, improve facial muscle tone reducing depth and visibility of wrinkles, and keep your body, mind, and spirit stress-free and disease-free.

What is facial acupuncture?

Facial acupuncture uses fine needles on the face and body for a safe and effective way to improve the muscle and skin tone without drugs or surgery. Working with the meridians which supply “qi” to the body, the needles stimulate circulation to refresh the skin and muscles below. Muscle groups on the face are also addressed to improve muscle tone, lifting the face. For maximum effectiveness, facial acupuncture is incorporated into an overall health maintaining/balancing treatment using points on other parts of the body so your skin is refreshed from the inside out.

What will my first treatment be like?

At your first appointment, you’ll experience a full Chinese medicine evaluation which includes completing an intake form, talking about your medical and family history, and addressing any concerns you have. Your tongue and pulse will be observed, and a Chinese medicine diagnosis made if appropriate.

Based on your intake, body needles will be applied to bring balance to your pulse and meridians. Facial areas will be addressed as needed, and you’ll be left to rest for about 20 minutes. Needles will be removed and the treatment will conclude with application of a toner and light moisturizer specific for your skin-type.
